The Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) CGI (covering Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky) posted three CMS-approved issues for audits of Medicare claims. CGI will now target these physician services by providers in Indiana, Michigan and Minnesota during automated reveiws of claims.

Last week, the White House and HHS announced roughly $1.2 billion in grants to help set up the framework for regional health information technology (HIT) networks. But, incentives of up to $44,000 per provider won't likely be available until at least 2011.

Resubmit your 2010 Physician Fee Schedule comments if you sent them through the www.regulations.gov website between July 26 and July 30. CMS has not said what happened to those comments, but it appears that they're lost.
