Call for speakers: 2022 Billing & Compliance Summit

DecisionHealth is recruiting speakers to present at the 2022 Billing & Compliance Summit, to be held December 5-7, 2022, at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel in Dallas, Texas.

The 2-½ day conference is packed with real-life examples and solutions to pressing billing, compliance and practice management concerns. The one-day pre-conference and one-and-a-half day main conference will cover topics that save attendees time and money – whether through increased reimbursement or avoided penalties, delays and inefficiencies – and will make them more valuable to their organizations and direct reports.

Deadline
Presenters must complete the application prior to the February 25 deadline.

We seek presentations that deliver real-world guidance and solutions to:
  • Medical billing and coding professionals who want to improve claims accuracy, efficiency and acceptance.
  • Compliance professionals who want to stay on top of state and federal law and regulation, improve their practices’ compliance thereof and successfully defend their practices when they’re challenged with audits, investigations or legal action.
  • Revenue cycle managers who want to enhance the financial health of their organization by understanding the latest Medicare and private payer guidelines and billing opportunities.
If chosen as a speaker, you’ll receive:
  • Professional recognition as a speaker – in our brochure and in conference materials.
  • Free registration to the conference.
  • CEUs to maintain your professional certifications.
Presentations could focus on topics such as:
  • Recent changes in law and regulation that directly impact practices – e.g., the annual Medicare physician fee schedule.
  • Effective ways to get your staff to avoid compliance traps, such as HIPAA breaches or Stark law issues.
  • Tested, effective practices and programs that make billing and compliance more cost-efficient and successful.
  • “How-tos” on difficult subjects, such as CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 coding and documentation and payer contracting.
  • Testimonials from trailblazers in the industry who can share lessons learned, programs that work and best practices that will keep you innovating long after the event is over.
We welcome presentations from people with at least five years of experience in the appropriate disciplines, including reimbursement consultants, attorneys and clinicians. Experience speaking at a conference is not required, but the speaker should be comfortable with addressing a large group of people. Experience with training other people is a plus.

Presenters should be willing and able to work with members of the conference team to finalize the outline and description of the session, meet deadlines for submitting the handout for the presentation and other tasks associated with presenting for DecisionHealth.

Presenters must be able to answer questions about the topic of their presentation(s) during a live Q&A that lasts 10-15 minutes.
