You may apply more than once and to more than one conference, but you will need to complete a separate application for each conference or session idea. Here are some questions and answers to help you decide if this is right for you.

Question: I have not spoken for DecisionHealth or its affiliates – such as Simplify Compliance or HCPro – in the past, can I apply?

Answer: Yes, we hope to meet some new speakers.

Question: I have never spoken for a national conference before, but I regularly provide group training or present at my AAPC chapter meetings. May I apply?

Answer: Yes, experience addressing an audience is what counts.

Question: Is this just for people from practice management companies?

Answer: No. Speakers at our conferences include coders from medical practices, health care attorneys, physicians and other qualified health care professionals. (Professionals from practice management companies are welcome to apply too.)

Question: Will you accept applications for joint presentations?

Answer: Yes, make sure each participant completes and submits an application by the deadline.

Question: How long is each session?

Answer: Each session is 60 minutes, which includes a 10-15 minutes Q&A period at the end.

Question: I really know my subject but I’m not always the best at meeting deadlines and don’t know how to use PowerPoint. Should I apply?

Answer: Maybe not. Participation in the event will include submitting your final presenation by the August 2021 deadline and presentations must be produced on a PowerPoint template that we will provide.

Question: I’m ready to apply! What’s that deadline again?

Answer: Thursday, Feb. 11, 11:59 p.m. (ET).
