Part B News and its publisher score four in the SIPA Awards

DecisionHealth — publisher of Part B News, and part of the H3.Group, a SimplifyCompliance business — won four prizes at the 42nd Annual SIPA (Specialized Information Publishers Association) Awards at SIPA's 42nd Annual Conference in Washington, D.C on June 6 — including a First Place for Part B News.

The editorial staff of Part B News was named best in class in the Best Informational or Analytical Reporting (Health Care/Regulatory/Education) category for its November 13, 2017 coverage of the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule and Quality Payment Program (QPP) final rules — a massive effort requiring the team to analyze and report two major rules totaling over a thousand pages in one issue.

One of the winners of that award, Laura Evans, also took Second Place in the Best Spot News or Single News Article category for  her story, "Append modifier 52 to 29870 when reporting percutaneous arthroscopy," in Orthopedic Coder's Pink Sheet.

DecisionHealth’s sister publication Home Health Line had a couple of winners, too:  Editor Josh Poltilove took Second Place in the Best Series of Articles on One Topic (Health Care/Regulatory/Education) category for his reporting on the revised Home Health Conditions of Participation (CoPs); and Tami Swartz took Third Place in the Best Interpretative or Analytical Reporting (Health Care/Regulatory/Education) category for her story "HHGM rocks home health."
