Teamwork on MIPS nets Part B News 1st place

It's been a bit more than a year since CMS rolled out the proposed rule for the new merit-based incentive payment system (MIPS), which makes it a bit more than a year since the editorial team for Part B News -- Roy Edroso, Laura Evans, Julia Kyles and Richard Scott -- spent hours poring over the 962-page document.

That hard work paid off when we were able to provide subscribers with in-depth guidance in a breaking news and blog post written the day the proposed rule was released, followed by an issue devoted to the rule (subscription required).

Our work paid off again today when our coverage received first place for Best Health Care/Regulatory/Education Interpretative or Analytical Reporting from the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the principal trade association for the software and digital content industry.

Part B News also won second place in the Best Health Care/Regulatory/Education Newsletter or Ezine (non-daily) category. (Part B News' sibling publication Home Health Line won third.)

We're expecting the proposed rule for 2018 to drop any day now, so keep an eye on this page. Subscribers can find all of Part B News’ MIPS coverage by searching for MIPS. Visitors can check our many blog posts on the topic by selecting the quality payment program tag on the right.
