MIPS gives eligible NPPs a break in year one

Exactly. They won't be graded on meaningful use (advancing clinical information under MIPS). This information came out April 10, during CMS' MACRA/MIPS listening session.
 
There's a catch, of course. That section of the program accounts for 25% of the provider's overall MIPS score. CMS will distrubute that percentage among the other three parts of the program, the spokesperson said. Stay tuned as we figure out how that's going to happen.
