Formulate a winning PQRS reporting strategy for 2016

In the Jan. 25 issue of Part B News, editor Julia Kyles, CPC, shared a "lifeline" for practices seeking to report their 2015 physician quality reporting system (PQRS) data.

As we look ahead to 2016 reporting, Part B News is pleased to announce a virtual training session with noted PQRS expert Jeanne J. Chamberlin on Feb. 3. The hour-long training will give practices the in-depth PQRS information they need to be successful this year -- and to avoid a potential 6% pay cut in 2018.

You might find yourself asking: Isn't the PQRS penalty 2%? Yes, but the value-based modifier reporting program, which is tied to PQRS reporting, leaves providers on the hook for an additional cut of up to 4% to Medicare payments in 2018.
