Practitioners worry they may no longer be able to offer remote monitoring services to their patients under changes outlined in the proposed 2027 Medicare physician fee schedule issued July 14.

CMS intends to introduce multiple new codes next year, according to the proposed 2027 Medicare physician fee schedule. For example, CMS proposed a new code for group clinical visits. The agency is also considering codes for advance care planning (ACP) services by clinical staff, assessment and treatment of patients who have a reaction to a vaccination and speech-language services for pediatric patients.
