Salary and benefits increase for majority of office managers in 2004

Office managers/practice administrators received cumulative salary and benefit increases of nearly 2% nationally and, in some specialty practices, as much as 18%, according to the 2004 Professional Association of Health Care Office Management (PAHCOM) salary survey. Nonphysician staff received raises of between 2.4% and 4.6% in 2004, not as much as the previous year when salaries increased between 2.4% and 4.9%, according to practice management consulting firm The Health Care Group's (HCG) 2005 Staff Salary Survey.
