The Department of Justice today announced another major fraud bust, with a total of 107 individiuals - including doctors, nurses and social workers - charged in seven cities around the country.

Altogether, the fraud schemes resulted in $452 million of allegedly fraudulent Medicare claims, Justice says in a May 2 announcement. Charges include conspiracy to commit health care fraud, health care fraud, violations of the anti-kickback statute and money laundering.

In addition to the indictments, HHS also suspended 52 providers due to "credible allegations of fraud." The list of suspended providers was not immediately available.
