Providers in the U.S. will have a specific ICD-10-CM diagnosis code for the COVID-19 virus beginning April 1.
With the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continuing to spread internationally, the coding world is catching up, little by little.
When you encounter vaping-related injury or illness cases in a clinical setting, you are to report the new emergency vaping code, U07.0 as the primary diagnosis, according to newly issued tabular guidance for the code from the ICD-10-CM Coordination and Maintenance Committee.
