Region B RAC expands the scope of 3 targets - Update

by Julia Kyles on Nov 25, 2009

While most of the country prepares for Thanksgiving, the Region B RAC made it own unique contribution to the holiday spirit by expanding its first three targets to its entire region. According to its target issues page, providers in all seven Region B states can now expect the RAC to review claims for blood transfusions, bronchoscopy services and IV hydration therapy.

Since late August, these targets were only active in Indiana, Michigan and Minnesota. Today, the Region B RAC added Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio and Wisconsin to the mix.

In addition, the RAC released its first DME target - wheelchair bundling - for Indiana, Michigan and Minnesota today.

Update: Wheelchair bundling was expanded to all seven states in Region B on Nov. 27.

As always, the latest RAC targets are laid out in Part B News' RAC Target Alerts chart.
