The RAC for Region D has issued a steady stream of DME targets. But don't worry, they haven't forgotten physicians. Providers in the 17 states and three territories that make up Region D should review claims for the technical component (TC) and professional component (26) modifiers.
According to the target released today, the RAC will issue an overpayment demand when it finds a provider was paid for a global diagnositc procedure and also received payment for the procedure's technical or professional components.
