The first is an Observation Audit Sheet, the newsletter's tool of the month developed by DecisionHealth Professional Services. This form will help you accurately and consistently audit billed observation services. The sheet should be used with chart notes to determine the appropriate level of service billed - cutting down on overbilling and ensuring compliance.
The second document contains excerpts highlighting changes to the Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) for next year, found in the proposed 2010 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (subscribers can read more by clicking this link). The excerpts are straight from CMS, and show you new measures and reporting methods proposed for next year.
