And he did it with Twitter.

Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), used Twitter -- a social networking service that lets users send mass online text messages called "tweets" -- to blast Obama over the weekend.

The senator unleashed two angry strings of text after the president used his weekly radio address on June 6 to state "it's time to deliver" on health reform.

Grassley's first message read: "Pres Obama you got nerve while u sightseeing in Paris to tell us 'time to deliver' on health care. We still on skedul/even workinWKEND."

Shortly thereafter, Grassley sent a second message with a more defiant tone: "Pres Obama while u sightseeing in Paris u said 'time to delivr on healthcare' When you are a 'hammer' u think evrything is NAIL I'm no NAIL."

The White House evidently had no comment, according to a report by the Boston Globe.

Grassley is a key player in the reform effort as the ranking Republican on the Senate Finance Committee, led by Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.). Grassley and Baucus have worked closely with one another for years, hoping to secure bipartisan support for reform legislation.
