In case you missed it, the Senate voted 65-31 to confirm President Obama's appointment of Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius to the top post at HHS on April 28. She was later sworn in, and apparently began working immediately.
The AMA congratulated Sebelius on her confirmation. "In Gov. Sebelius' roles as insurance commissioner and governor, she demonstrated the leadership skills required to direct HHS and help implement health system reform," the AMA says. "During her time as governor, she showed her commitment to health care reform by expanding access to care for children. As insurance commissioner, she helped preserve competition and choice in the health care marketplace by halting a problematic health insurance merger in the state."
Any thoughts on who should be CMS administrator?
