Get the big picture: AMA reissues 2021 E/M guidelines with tech changes

The AMA has reissued the full set of guidelines with the March 9 tech corrections integrated and highlighted in blue, in a 28-page PDF file on its website.

 

The file also includes the MDM table and list of 2021 office visit code changes.

 

The updated guideline file shows March 9 additions and revisions to definitions as well as policy statements in the context with the rest of the guidelines and definitions.

 

Worth noting: The file represents the full set of guidelines that took effect Jan. 1 this year in one document for ease of reference in case of audits or provider questions.
