The end of the PQRS website spells the end of an era

The Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) wrapped up in 2018 when Medicare issued payment adjustments for the 2016 reporting year. And soon the PQRS website will be a thing of the past.

CMS will retire the website on March 29, the federal agency announced today via email. That means you have a little time to pull any information from the website or take a final stroll down PQRS memory lane.

If you have questions about PQRS after the site goes down, help will be available, CMS says.

For your PQRS questions, contact the QualityNet Help Desk at 866-288-8912 (TTY 877-715-6222) or qnetsupport@hcqis.org. Staff is available 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (CT), Monday through Friday until March 29. After March 29, you can get in touch with the Quality Payment Program Service Center at QPP@cms.hhs.gov or 1-866-288-8292 (TTY: 1-877-715-6222).

Value Modifier questions should go to the Physician Value Help Desk at pvhelpdesk@cms.hhs.gov or 888-734-6433 (select option 4) through May 3, 2019. After that you should contact the Quality Payment Program Center.
