Earlier this week, we noticed that the measures specification file on the CMS Quality Payment Program website was missing some specifications for claims-based measures -- for example, measure 1 (Diabetes: Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) Poor Control [>9%]). We
asked CMS' press office about the missing information and today we see they've indirectly answered the question.
The claims-based specifciations are in there. But there's more in there and it will make measures selection easier.
The giant .zip file now contains the release notes document, which provides a quick overview of any changes to the measures. In addition, there are three Excel files that will come in handy: a single source master for claims reporting, a single source master for registry reporting and a measures list. Watch
