Don’t let up on your 2015 quality reporting efforts yet. In order to avoid quality reporting penalties in 2017 – and to have a shot at the value based bonus – you have to get all of your data to CMS on time.
Take note of the deadlines for physician quality reporting system (PQRS) submission, including the participation method and the format the vendor used to exchange measures data:
- EHR (direct or data submission vendor), quality reporting data architecture (QRDA) I or III: Jan. 1-Feb. 29.
- Qualified clinical data registry, QRDA III: Jan. 1-Feb. 29.
- Qualified registries, XML: Jan. 1-March 31.
- Qualified clinical data registry, XML: Jan. 1-March 31.
- Group practice reporting option, web interface: Jan. 18-March 11. Ignore notices from CMS that give a March 15 deadline. You’ll be four days too late.
All data must be in by 8:00 p.m., ET, CMS said in the listserv notice announcing the dates.
