Starting this week, you can voice any grievances you might have about your Medicare administrative contractor (MAC) directly to CMS.

That’s if you register for CMS’ new MAC Satisfaction Indicator (MSI) program. The registration form, now available online, provides few details about what the MSI program might entail, other than to say that it’s an “annual process.”

CMS also notes that completion of the form doesn’t guarantee you’ll actually get to give feedback. “Each year, CMS will randomly select its MSI administration sample from a list of providers who register to become a participant.”

However, rest assured that your feedback, should you be selected to provide some, will be used to “improve the level of service” the MACs provide.
