ICD-10 = 54 + 70

AHIMA’s ICD-10 conference hasn’t wrapped up yet, but we know our readers have been asking how ICD-10 will impact their coders. According to a session on Day 1 of the conference the magic numbers are 54 and 70.

That is, it will take coders 70% longer to code claims and their productivity will drop by 54%.
