The site, set up by the Kaiser Family Foundation, provides locality-specific subsidy data based on the person’s ZIP code, income, number of family members and whether they are currently covered by an employer-sponsored plan.

For example, a family of three in DeKalb County, Indiana with an annual income of $60,000 and no employer coverage could be eligible for a $980 subsidy, or 15% of the unsubsidized annual premium of $6,680, according to the calculator.

Under that scenario, a family would pay $5,700 a year ($475 a month), or 9.5% of household income for insurance next year under the ACA.
