Remember your ABKs (and Fs) when you submit electronic claims for services performed on or after Oct. 1.
CMS today sent a reminder to use the appropriate ICD-10 qualifier codes on electronic claims. ABK goes in field HI01-1 to indicate the principal ICD-10 diagnosis code. Use ABF "for the code list qualifier code to indicate up to 11 additional ICD-10 diagnosis codes that are sent,"
